The 2015 Honda Jazz prototype revealed ahead of Paris debut
It may be a year before the 2015 Honda Jazz arrives as a production model, but Honda are previewing the arrival of the new Jazz with a 2015 model prototype at the Paris Motor Show next month. The first photos of the 2015 Jazz (above and below) show a car that looks familiar but which is much changed, including a growth spurt that adds 30mm ro the wheelbase (but only 15mm to the length). The new Jazz sits on Honda’s global compact platform – the same platform that underpins the Civic and the new HR-V – and keeps the central fuel tank with the benefits that offers of better interior room and practicality.
OK, truth: It's kind of hard to not care. Yeah, yeah, that's the Honey Badger credo (and for those who think I've just spouted some kind of odd Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom gibberish, please go to YouTube and check out the Honey Badger video.) Honda would like to remind you that while journalists have spent the last few years fretting whether the Big H has "lost its way," the company has quietly launched, shelved, resurrected, and all but waited out its plan to dominate the business-jet skies, which we are to assume are less friendly than United's. The HA-420 HondaJet has been kicking around for more than 10 years now, but the very first production-ready plane just rolled off the assembly line in Greensboro, N.C., this week -- and, Honda promises, the $4.5 million business jet should be delivered in the second quarter of next year. Honda began taking orders for the jet in 2006, but the long recession squashed the market for private jets.
